My new favorite thing in the world Doctor Who Sound Effects album reissued for Record Store Day

From the classic high-pitched buzz of the sonic screwdriver to blasts of a Dalek gun or the chant of The Shrine Of The Sisterhood Of Karn from “Brain of Morbius,” the classic “Doctor Who Sound Effects” album is being re-released on vinyl for Record Store Day in the UK. It’s too bad I’m in the U.S.

About Daniel P. Finney

A misanthrope, iconoclast and general grouch since the late 1980s, Daniel P. Finney has been a professional paragraph stacker since 1993. He reports. He writes. He blogs. He tweets. He beats deadlines. He amuses (himself, at least.) He informs. He adapts. He keeps moving forward. He eschews gatherings. The highlights of his week are Sunday chicken wings, new comics Wednesday and naps during televised sporting events. He does not wonder if there is a player to be named later in his life and spends most of his waking hours desperately trying to be left alone.

  1. This sounds fantastic, I must have this!

  2. Dan,
My 13-year-old son has been watching back episodes of the newly revived series and is now a Dr. Who freak. He’s gotten me interested in the process. What geeks.

    O’Donnell

  3. The kid has good taste.

  4. Anthony Creighton

Dic Mills lives here in Australia. Nice person. I shall call him and tell him he’s been reissued.

  5. Terrific. Copies of the album are going for $50 on eBay. They should at least give him a freebie.

Your takes.
