1. Three episodes in, “Torchwood” is starting to drag and despite Eve Myles giving everything she’s got to Gwen, none of the characters are particularly likable and the plot plods along so incrementally it’s starting to feel as if Russell T. Davies has no plan.

Oh, no! Trouble ahead for Gwen. They'd better not kill the only character worth a damn.

I thought that after last week’s micro, “character-study” episode (which I loved), this week would be back to the big picture. Instead it was a mishmash of stuff, half of which did nothing to build character or plot. I’m still loving Gwen, though: “You’ve done that before.” “So many times.”
That was a great scene with Gwen. Gwen is my new favorite person in the world.
